MSU Alumni HSV/Decatur

As has been our tradition for the past several years, we will once again be hosting a Send-off Party for all incoming freshmen from our area that will be attending Mississippi State in the fall. This event has grown over the years (last year we had over 235 attendees) and is a fun way for alumni and their families to gather and give the incoming freshmen of our area a rousing start to their MSU experience. This note serves as an invitation to this year’s event.

At this year’s Send-off Party, we are happy to announce that we will have Dr. Jimmy Abraham (MSU Alumni Association Executive Director), Dr. Sarah Rajala (Dean of the Bagley College of Engineering), Barbie Hampel (Director of Annual Giving for the MSU Foundation), and Philip Moss (Assistant Director, Alabama Admissions, Office of Recruitment and Scholarships) as guest attendees and speakers from Mississippi State. They are all dynamic personalities and I encourage you all to come out to meet them and hear what they have to say about our beloved MSU.

We will be serving Bar-B-Que and all the fixings for dinner – the price will be $10 for adults and $6 for children ages 3-11 (of course, under 3 is free). In addition, dinner is free for all incoming freshmen and their immediate families. So, if you would like to attend this year’s event, please send an e-mail to briansabourin@comcast.net with your name and how many adults and children will be attending with you. Also be sure to indicate if your child is an incoming freshman.

Date/Time: Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at 6:00 p.m.

Location: Madison RV Center, 9311 Madison Boulevard (Highway 20 W), Madison, AL. (Madison RV is located off I-565 - Take the Wall-Triana exit (Exit 8) and turn left on Madison Boulevard (Hwy. 20) for 1 mile. Madison RV will be on your left.

Cost: Free for incoming students and their families, $10 for adults and $6 for children ages 3-11
